There were scenes of great celebration in one secondary school in County Waterford recently following great success on the hockey pitch.

St Declan's Community College recently won the school's Inter A Hockey cup and league competitions.

A spokesperson said: "Huge congratulations to our Inter A hockey team on their cup and league win against the Ursuline Waterford."

"An amazing game played by all players, which went to penalties, where our girls came out on top," she said.
