Dunmore RNLI were deployed to assist in a search for a missing person on Thursday morning.
In a post on social media, the local RNLI group said that the Irish Coast Guard requested their assistance with a missing persons report off Duncannon Beach.
But they were ultimately stood down.
“The all-weather lifeboat launched promptly and made its way to the scene. Thankfully, shortly after our arrival, we received the news that the person had been located safe and well.
“The boat was stood down and returned to station, where the boat was washed down and ready for the next call.
“A positive outcome today, thank you to our volunteer crew!” wrote the group.
