Waterford Marine Search and Rescue (WMSAR) will host its annual prayer service and laying of flowers on World Suicide Prevention Day, Wednesday, September 10 at 8:00 PM, at Waterford Marine Search and Rescue, Park Road Business Park (X91 WR62).

The service is open to all members of the community and offers a chance to gather in solidarity to honour the memory of those lost to suicide, regardless of the circumstance.

“This evening is about remembrance, connection, and hope,” said Declan Barry, Chair of WMSAR.

“It is a time to come together as a community to support one another and to show those who may be struggling that they are not alone.”

The prayer service will include a short ceremony followed by the laying of flowers into the River Suir, symbolising remembrance and healing.
