Waterford man in court over €775,000 drugs bust

A Waterford city man appeared in Waterford District Court on Tuesday, August 26, in relation to the recent seizure of €775,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis. On August 20, Nicholas O'Rourke (56), of Arbour Road, Lisduggan, was charged with possession of a controlled drug, namely cocaine, and possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of sale or supply. 

Sgt Michael Hickey informed Judge Miriam Walsh that a file was being prepared for the DPP and forensic investigations were ongoing. The defendant was represented by solicitor John P O'Donohoe.

Mr O'Rourke is to appear in Waterford District Court on Tuesday, December 2. He is remanded on bail.

A man aged in his 20's will appear in Waterford District Court on September 9 in connection with the matter.
