Waterford group resume 'bridgil' protest in support of Gaza

Bridgil in Dungarvan
Gaeil ar son Gaza has resumed their Bridgil on the N25 Bypass to protest Israel's resumption of strikes on Gaza.
The vigil on Friday, March 21, was held to show support for the people of Palestine and demand the Government sanction Israel.
The group said the protest saw support from passersby and commuters.
The bridgil was suspended during the ceasefire.
One member said they need the world to see that Palestinians are not alone.

"Palestinians need to be seen and heard. World leaders are ignoring them. We must speak up for them and be on the right side of history. The slaughter must stop," said the member. The second Waterford bridgil was held by Waterford for Palestine.
That group have had a consistent presence on the N25 Greenway footbridge at Kilmacthomas every Friday morning since October 2023.
