Waterford firefighters go head-to-head to decide ‘the best in the west’

Firefighters in Dungarvan and Tallow have gone head-to-head in a match to decide “the best in the west”
Speaking after the event, Councillor Donnchadh Mulcahy said there was no shortage of excitement on Thursday night for the match.
“It was a fantastic night in Tallow, and a great example of the spirit and camaraderie that exists between our firefighters.
“These men and women give so much to our communities, and it was brilliant to see them enjoying themselves while showing the same teamwork and determination we rely on them for in emergencies,” said Cllr Mulcahy.
Cllr Mulcahy said the match was not about winning or losing but celebrating the local fire crews.
He said supporters turned out for both teams, who played with skill, teamwork and determination, while giving it their all.
