Waterford digital story trail shortlisted for award

The Waterford Digital Trail has been nominated for a national award

A digital story trail, featuring augmented reality, that offers tourists an engaging way to discover Waterford’s rich and fascinating history has been shortlisted in this year’s ‘.ie Digital Town Awards’.

The trail, which is accessible through people’s smartphones, was shortlisted in Digital Tourism and Digital Changemaker categories.

The awards recognise and reward projects with a digital element, created by town groups, individuals and local communities.

In February 2023, Waterford City and County Council, in partnership with Imvizar and with Fáilte Ireland funding, launched the Déise’s first Digital Story Trail (DST).
