Tramore celebrated a remarkable sporting achievement as Maci Rockett was crowned Irish National Girls Boxing Champion at the National Stadium in Dublin, recently.
Maci took home the gold medal after winning unanimously against a two-time national champion - a phenomenal accomplishment for both her and women’s sport in Tramore.
Her family, friends, and coaches have expressed immense pride in her success, and the support from the wider community has been outstanding.
A special word of thanks goes to her coach, Jimmy Payne, for the dedication and hard work he has put in behind the scenes, as well as to all the coaches at Winter’s Boxing Club who have helped guide Maci on her journey.
