Classmates travelled from far and wide last week to reunite half a century after they dispersed throughout the world after graduating from school.

Almost forty former classmates came together on Saturday, September 20, to celebrate the 50th anniversary since they left the Sacred Heart of Mary Secondary School in Ferrybank.

The class of 1975, which comprised of day and boarding pupils, met for lunch at the Tower Hotel on the Mall to catch up and discuss their lives after school.

The group travelled from the length and breadth of Ireland and internationally, with some travelling back to Waterford from the United Kingdom, Canada and across Europe.
This was the class's fourth reunion, having last met in 2015 for their 40th celebrations.

They also met in years gone for their 10th and 25th anniversaries.
The classmates started the afternoon with a welcome reception, followed by photos and lunch.

The lively and fun-filled afternoon went on well into the evening with an abundance of memories and stories shared.
