Waterford Chamber and Waterford Chamber Skillnet have partnered up with International Coaching Federation, Ireland Chapter (ICF Ireland) on the new Regional Leaders Programme, which starts this October.

The pairing is a vote of confidence in the efficacy of the Regional Leaders Programme, according to CEO of Waterford Chamber Gerald Hurley.

He said: "ICF Ireland is the leading organisation in the country in terms of coaching. To date we have focused on mentoring alone, but having a team of experienced coaches now volunteering with the programme brings it to a new level.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in business looking to advance their career. Getting to work with experienced ICF coaches, along with a range of incredible business leaders over a six month period can be life changing." He added: "The Regional Leaders Programme is designed by the business community, for the business community, under the guidance of our partners Bausch + Lomb, and with an alumni of over 500 people, this is a very powerful network of business people supporting each other."

According to Siobhán Bradley, Co-President of ICF Ireland: “Coaching provides an important avenue for leaders to explore issues of importance to them. Through the dedicated support of a coach, participants can challenge their thinking, broaden their understanding of the interplay of factors influencing decisions and find a way forward that enhances their success and impact. ICF accredited coaches offer a real ‘gold standard’ in coaching, trained to adapt to the needs of each person, accelerating growth, which is an ideal complement to a leadership development programme such as this wonderful initiative of Waterford Chamber.”

Due to the funding of Chamber Skillnet, the programme's cost has been reduced from €395 to €296, and is open for application via waterfordchamber.ie.
