Waterford artist's depiction of music legends to raise money for charity

Miriam Twomey with her commissioned painting of John Martyn
An artist from Waterford has decided to put her creative talent to good use and raise money for charity.
Dungarvan artist, Miriam Twomey is very well know locally and regularly exhibits her work in the Old Market House Arts Centre, located in Lower Main Street, Dungarvan.
Miriam currently has a portrait featuring John Martyn, exhibited in the Art Centre, and prints of the painting, which was a commission on its way to Edinburgh, are now for sale in the Old Market House.
There are also prints of the late Irish rock legend, Rory Gallagher, also for sale and the nett proceeds from the sales will go towards the St Vincent de Paul, in aid of those who are homeless locally.
St. Vincent de Paul is a leading charity operating across the Island of Ireland, supporting some of the most marginalised individuals, couples and families experiencing homelessness.
They provide support across the broad range of necessity in the community and countless numbers have benefitted over many years through the broad range of support which they offer.
Buying one or both of Miriam's prints will not just benefit a very worthy cause but will also make a great addition to any music fans memorabilia collection.
