Amongst the international lineup of musicians and comedians appearing at All Together Now this year, there are a number of Waterford based acts to look out for throughout the weekend.
King Kong Company is an Irish dance band based in Waterford and much of the group first crossed paths while attending Waterford Institute of Technology.
They released their debut album in 2016, with tracks such as ‘Donkey Jaw’ and ‘Ipop’ marking them out as a group of high regard. Since then, the band have released a series of singles including ‘Killswitch’, and ‘Harvest’, as well as Bela Luigi’s Ghost remixes ‘Pol Pot Rocks’ and ‘‘Zoids’. The Band have most recently collaborated with diorama artist and Rubberbandit Bobby Fingers on their new release ‘The Machine’.
King Kong Company will be performing at the ‘Something Kind of Wonderful’ stage at 1.15am on Saturday morning.
Tony is an actor, comedian, writer, producer and director who will be performing this year alongside comedy juggernauts Tommy Tiernan, Emma Doran, Ardal O'Hanlon and more
Speaking to the Waterford News and Star recently, Tony said: “All together now will be happening this summer and if anybody is going to be there I'll be in the Comedy Tent this year if people want to come and see me perform live.
"It’s a new opportunity to see me in this kind of a place and it's my first time doing All Together Now.
"I went there last year to see Iggy Pop and I loved it so I'm really delighted to be an artist there this year. “
Tony will be performing at the Comedy Tent on Sunday at 3.05 pm.
Dave, a Wicklow native who moved to Waterford as a teenager had already captivated audiences in the south-east with his impressive vocal skills and unique presence before teaming up with SAND to create a five piece folk band.
Along the way, he's had the honour of sharing the stage with some of Ireland's most beloved musical icons, including Damien Dempsey, Duke Special, Paddy Casey, Jerry Fish, and Mundy. Dave says his soulful and husky voice is reminiscent of the greats like Paolo Nutini and Shane McGowan
He will be performing on the The Something Kind of Wonderful stage at 6.15pm on Friday.
