Uisce Éireann say the repairs were to a burst water main in Tramore

Uisce Éireann is advising customers in Tramore that supply is returning following a major burst to a water main.

The issue was reported on Tuesday, and repair works are now complete.

Uisce Éireann Water Operations Manager, Maura Phelan, thanked affected customers for their cooperation during repair works.

"Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by the burst water main to the water supply and sincerely thanks our customers for their patience and cooperation while essential repair works were carried out.

“Crews on the ground worked hard to minimise the number of customers affected by the burst and to restore supply as quickly and safely as possible,” said Ms Phelan.

Usually it takes around three hours for full supply to return but it may take longer for customers at the end of network.

Uisce Éireann said that as supply returns, there may be instances of discolouration as the network refills.

Customers are advised to run their taps until the water runs clear.
