WATCH: Traffic delays in Waterford as Rice Bridge lifts to allow boat through
The boat carrying the pylons down the river Suir to where the Sustainable Transport Bridge is being constructed.
There were traffic delays in Waterford City on Tuesday morning as a result of a lifting of Rice Bridge over the river Suir.
The lift took place to allow a boat travel down the river with pylons on board to be used on building the Sustainable Transport Bridge that is currently under construction.
The traffic was delayed for a short period of time on both the city quayfront and also on the Ferrybank side of the river. Watch the video below as the boat carrying the pylon travels under the upright bridge before the later is lowered back in to place.
