WARNING: Bathing prohibited at Waterford beach
The ban is in place until further notice
Members of the public are being advised that bathing is currently prohibited at a well-known County Waterford beach.
The bathing prohibition notices was issued by Waterford City & County Council in respect of Clonea Strand.
According to a notice on the local authority website it's understood the ban is as a result of wastewater discharge and it will remain in place until further notice.
Further investigation into the matter is under way.
