Traffic delays on Waterford City bridge to be resolved shortly
All works will be completed and the lanes reopened no later than 3.00pm, Waterford City and County Council said, with traffic management in place, and motorists advised to expect delays this morning.
Traffic delays were experienced for much of the morning along Waterford City’s Quays as roadworks commenced on Rice Bridge from 9:30am this morning, Tuesday, October 6.
The two lane closures on Rice Bridge were in place to facilitate works to clear blocked cable ducts, Waterford City and County Council said in a statement.
Lane two on the outbound carriageway (right lane, closest to the central reservation), and the left lane of the inbound carriageway were both worked on throughout the morning and early afternoon.
All works will be completed and the lanes reopened no later than 3.00pm, Waterford City and County Council said, with traffic management in place, and motorists advised to expect delays this morning.
Waterford City and County Council apologised for any inconvenience caused, saying it appreciates the understanding and co-operation of the public as works are completed.
