Gardaí in Waterford arrested two drunk drivers and seized three cars for no tax or insurance over the weekend.
In a post on social media, gardaí said that they were conducting major road safety enforcement checkpoints in Dungarvan and Carrolls Cross when they encountered the drivers.
A number of fixed penalty notices were also issued, according to gardaí.
“Unfortunately, the road safety message did not reach everyone this weekend.
“Two drunk drivers, three cars seized for no tax/insurance and fixed charge notices issued for other road traffic offences,” wrote the gardaí.
