Teen taken to hospital with serious injuries following road incident in Waterford

A teenager has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Waterford City involving a car and an e-bike on Sunday evening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred shortly before 8pm on November 16 on the Cork Road.
The cyclist, a male aged 18 years, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford.
The motorist, an adult male, was assessed at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are asking anyone with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from the area at the time, to provide it to investigating gardaí.
