Syringes found near busy Waterford shopping area

A number of syringes and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the Poleberry area, near a busy shopping outlet.
On Thursday evening, May 16, photographer Joe Evans captured multiple syringes and foils next to a seemingly disused tent and sleeping bag.
The items were located on a green area near the large Tesco's outlet at Poleberry.
The area is densely populated with a cinema and multiple shops and pharmacies in the vicinity.
An Garda Síochána were contacted in relation to the items but they confirmed that there was no report made.
Waterford City and County Council were reached for comment.
