Everyone is welcome to attend the star gaze on Kingsmeadow.

Astronomy lovers in Waterford are invited to a star-studded, one-night gathering on Wednesday evening, March 5. 

South East Astronomy (SEA) are putting on a stargaze event on the Kingsmeadow on the Cork Road, just across from McDonalds. 

Attendees can look at the night sky and discover glittering constellations across the galaxy. 

Telescopes will be available for public use, so star-watchers can catch a glimpse of the solar system.

The event coincides with Astronomy Week 2025, which runs from Sunday, March 2 until Saturday, March 8. 

The South East Astronomy are excited to share the wondrous views of the sky with the public and everyone is welcome to stop by. 

According to the club, the moon will be in its First Quarter Phase. On the night, stargazers may be able to see the plants Mars, Venus and Jupiter. 

The stargaze will begin at 7.30pm, weather permitting.
