St Martin's Special School granted permission for major upgrades

The Board of Management at St. Martin’s Special School have had their planning application for expansion works approved by Waterford Council.
Approved plans include the construction of a single-storey extension to the existing school building comprising of four additional classrooms with teaching spaces, a toilet and shower/changing area, multi-activity room and office.
The school’s existing external play areas and ball court will be adjusted and relocated, and the formation of new soft-play areas, a new sensory garden and landscaping will take place.
Sixteen new carparking spaces are approved in the plans, as is a new on-site road crossing on the internal road network and an extension to the existing drop-off area/lay-by.
