Those working within the food sector across the south east, including in Waterford, will now be able to avail of region's first publicly accessible demonstration kitchen.

The Food Studio, which is specifically designed for chefs, food producers, influencers and educators, will be officially launched by the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke TD, on Thursday, August 28, at 4.30pm.

The launch will take place in GreenTechHQ, at Senan House in in Enniscorthy Technology Park, in Co Wexford and the guest chef on the day will be TV celebrity, Kevin Dundon from the world famous Dunbrody Country House Hotel, just a couple of minutes across the ferry from Passage East.

A spokesperson for Waterford News & Star said The Food Studio is "a dynamic innovation and development space designed to support food entrepreneurs and established producers across the Southeast".

"It provides a professional-grade environment for product testing, small-batch production, and collaborative development," he said.

He also added it will "enable businesses to bring sustainable, high-quality food products to market faster sector".

"The establishment of The Food Studio will amplify food producers and their brands, which will in turn bring an uplift to employment across the region," he said.
