Serious incident reported at John Roberts Square
The man has reportedly been arrested by armed gardaí.
A serious incident unfolded in John Roberts Square, Waterford City, this evening, where it has been alleged that a man pointed a gun at a large crowd, which included school children.
Videos have circulated online of the alleged incident, showing a large crowd of children and shoppers confronted by the man and leaving the area around 5.20pm today, Friday, September 11.
It is understood the man was stopped by passers-by.
The man has reportedly been arrested by armed gardaí near the scene of the incident, by Mason's sports bar on Manor Street.
