There organisers of the annual Dunmore East expessed delight at the success of the 2025 event as the proceeds were handed over to the Waterford South East branch of the Samaritans.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: "The Dunmore East Christmas Day Swim Committee wish to thank everyone involved in supporting the 2025 Christmas Swim which raised €3,000 in aid of the Samaritans Waterford South East Branch."

"Once again it was a huge success and the committee and organisers already looking forward to organising this years swim," he said.

"The committee would again, like to thank all those who took part and those who helped make the event such a success," he added.

Gratitude was also expressed to Peter and Sean Ormond, of the Spinnaker, for providing refreshments.
