Road conditions in Faithlegg and Park Rangers FC raised at Council
The issue was discussed at Council.
Councillor Pat Fitzgerald (Sinn Féin) spoke about the potentially hazardous road conditions in Faithlegg.
At a recent meeting in Waterford City Hall, he commented: "There's a small road in Faithlegg on the way down to Park Rangers FC and it's quite a busy road. There's a section of road there that's bounded by Coillte land. The Coillte land has actually grown onto the road at this stage now."
He went on: "We have a lot of kids walking down that road in the evening to go training and things like that, and we need that area cut back."
Cllr Fitzgerald claimed that Coillte had been contacted by Waterford Council over the issue but a response has not been received.
He asked: "Is there something we can do, something we can force their hand in some way?"
Paul Johnston replied: "I'll confirm the location of the footpaths and get back to you directly on that."
