'Positive' development for Ferrybank Shopping Centre
Ferrybank Shopping centre is owned by the Dunnes Stores group.
A meeting with the Kilkenny County Council and the Dunnes Store group is scheduled to take place within the next fortnight.
Director of Services for Kilkenny County Council Sean Keown informed the District Council at their May meeting.
The meeting will hopefully establish a future for the Ferrybank Shopping Centre premises after a decade and a half of dormancy.
He said: “We’ve an agenda agreed to include the items that the elected members here have asked to be raised at that meeting. We're looking forward to having an engagement with Dunnes on our plans for the Ferrybank district."
