Plans for Islamic place of worship in County Waterford approved

Plans have been approved for the development of an Islamic place of worship in Dungarvan.
On October 16, this year, Dungarvan Islamic Centre CLG submitted plans for the change of use of an existing premises at Kilrush Industrial Estate from industrial use to a place of worship.
Planning reports outline that the average throughput of people using the building will be ten on a daily basis. Every Friday there will be a prayer meeting which involves 30 to 40 people. At Christmas there are two prayer meetings where up to 50 people attend.
The plans were approved by Waterford Council on December 5.
