Pinks restaurant in Waterford which has lain idle since 2024.

Speaking about recent works done in Railway Square, Councillor Mary Roche said, “The Pinks element of it is in quite a state, the Perspex is broken and fallen in there. It's really unsightly.”

‘Pinks Cantina & Grill’ opened in September 2020 and closed in 2024.

The space has been vacant since then.

In 2021, the Irish Examiner reported that Railway Square was going to receive an €80 million investment to transform the area into a "hive of activity", however, the company Infosys BPM that was supposed to populate the offices moved to the Cleaboy Business Park instead.

The complex is owned by the Causeway Group, a property management company that runs a number of bars and hotels in Waterford.

In a statement to the Waterford News & Star, the council said: "Waterford City and County Council is engaging with the owner on a series of improvements to enhance the area."
