Photo released of woman found dead in Waterford City on Saturday

The family of Gillian Curran have released a photo of her, following her death on Saturday, January 25

Ms Curran was found unresponsive by gardaí who were responding to an incident at the residence on O'Brien Street, Waterford City and later pronounced dead.

A man in his 30s was charged with her murder and appeared at a special sitting of Gorey District Court on Sunday, January 26.

A senior investigating officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Waterford Garda Station.

A family liaison officer (FLO) has also been assigned to support the family.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them and are seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the vicinity of O’Brien Street at the time of the incident.
