Pedestrian killed in fatal road collision on the N25 to Waterford from New Ross

The fatal accident occurred on the N25 between New Ross and Waterford
A woman in her 50s has been killed in a fatal road traffic collision on the N25 to Waterford from New Ross.
The collision happened around 7.10pm on Sunday, December 8, at Stokestown, Co Wexford and involved a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was fatally injured, and no other injuries have been reported.
A technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will take place this morning.
The N25 Eastbound road remains closed and local diversions are in place through New Ross town.
The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will now be made for a post-mortem examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and information and any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
