Palliative care fundraiser in Waterford is fantastic success

Cara Harte accepted the cheque for €3,240 on behalf of the Oak Ward Palliative Care/Waterford Hospice from Ian O’Regan, a member of the organising committee and fellow committee member Niall Walsh and Nicky O’Regan, the proprietor of Nicky’s Bar.
A very successful fundraising event was held on Good Friday at Nicky’s Bar, located on Mayor’s Walk in Waterford City, where a generous total of €3,240 was raised.
The event was organised in support of the patients of the Oak Ward Palliative Care Unit and Waterford Hospice, both of which provide vital care to those in need.
The organisers were delighted with how the event went and extended their heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the evening's success.
A special word of appreciation was conveyed to the two bands, The Knockadollys and Three for the Road, who donated their time and talent by performing live on the night without any fee.

The cheque was presented by Ian O’Regan, a member of the organising committee.
Also present at the presentation ceremony were fellow committee members Niall Walsh and Nicky O’Regan, the proprietor of Nicky’s Bar.
The other organising committee members for the event were Seamus Cleere, Brian Doyle, and Stephen Jacob.
