Orange weather warning issued for Waterford as country braces for Storm Éowyn

Met Éireann has issued an orange weather warning for Waterford as Storm Storm Éowyn is expected this Friday.

Met Éireann expects gale force southerly winds becoming westerly will bring severe, damaging and destructive gusts of up to 130km/h widely, with even higher gusts for a time.

The warning is in place from 2am to 5pm Friday, January 24.

Impacts may include fallen trees, power outages, damage to lines and very difficult travel conditions.

Public transport services may also be affected.
