Councillor Joe O’Riordan raised concerns about parking at the December sitting of the Dungarvan-Lismore District Council.
The issue concerned Strand Side South on Abbey Street.
Cllr O’Riordan said: “There’s an issue after arising there where there was a business at the top of the street and parking there. The gates are closed there now so people are being forced to park down the street.
"Now the demographic of Strand Side South is elderly people, and they can’t get parking. Some of these people are 92 or 93 and they’re having to park down in the pond and walk back up from there.
“What’s the situation where a business had parking, and now they’ve ceased that parking?”
No resolution was reached at the meeting.
