New sports courts open in County Waterford

Tramore Petanque Club announced recently that its new boules courts are now officially open for play. 

The club extended warm thanks to Waterford Sports Partnership and Waterford City & County Council for their support in bringing the project to completion. 

Growing interest in petanque locally means the club is hopeful the courts can be further extended next year. 

Special acknowledgment was also given to Cllr. Eamon Quinlan for his valuable assistance throughout the project. 

The new pistes are a welcome addition to Tramore, providing both residents and visitors with another enjoyable outdoor activity that promotes fun, social connection, and fresh air. The project also marks a positive step forward in encouraging participation in outdoor sports within the community.
