N24 needs to be fixed fast - councillors concerned at road danger
Cllr Pat Dunphy asked the council if they would be able to “remind” An Coimisiun Pleanála about the N24 planning road scheme.
At the Piltown Municipal meeting this week, councillors asked for updates on a planning application for upgrades to the N24.
Cllr Pat Dunphy asked the council if they would be able to “remind” An Coimisiun Pleanála about the N24 planning road scheme.
He said: “We need to move on. There was an accident there before Christmas; we’re lucky someone wasn’t killed.”
He asked the council, “Is there any way we can drop a quick line to them?”
John Tennyson, Area Engineer, responded, “That’s just part of the judicial review on that process. There was an application for a judicial review, so the clock restarts on that.”
Ian Gardner, Director of Services for Kilkenny County Council, told the councillors that he would look into contacting An Coimisiun Pleanála, letting them know that there have been some near misses lately.
