The mural will be placed along the greenway.

Kilkenny County Council has secured Creative Ireland funding for a 160-metre mural along the South East Greenway in Ferrybank, in the outskirts of Waterford City.

The artwork, which will feature themes of heritage, sustainability, and local landmarks like The Pope’s Tower, will be located behind the Ard Glas and Fiodh Mór estates.

Residents are invited to help shape the design of the mural at a public meeting scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 30.

The meeting will take place from 7pm to 8pm at Hillsfield Community Building (above Ferryfun Crèche).

The artist will also be present to gather ideas and answer questions.
