Matheo returns to Belgium after making his Gaelic football mark in Waterford
Matheo, who played U16 and Minor football with Porlaw, is returning home to Belgium.
People in one County Waterford village extended best wishes to a very popular visitor recently who is returning home to Belgium after spending some quality time in the Déise.
Belgian native, Matheo, recently completed an impressive 46km run on the Waterford Greenway.
However, while many around the area of Portlaw congratulated him on his achievement he was also warmly acknowledged for his contribution to Portlaw GAA club's U16 and minor squads with whom he played football last year.
One local commented: "Matheo, who is from Belgium, will be returning home at the end of the month. He played U16 and Minor football with us last year, and we’d like to thank him for his commitment, effort, and the positive contribution he made to the club."
"Best of luck back home, Matheo - you’ll always be very welcome here," he added.
