Man robbed of €600 worth of belongings at Millennium Plaza
A 22-year-old man appeared in court last week charged in relation to an incident of robbery that occurred at the Millennium Plaza on the Waterford city quayside.
It's alleged that on May 6, the man, with an address at Portree Guesthouse on Mary Street, robbed another man at the Millenium Plaza on the quay.
He is alleged to have stolen a black backpack containing a North Face jacket, two Visa debit cards, an iPhone 11, Apple Airpods and €200 in cash.
The total value of the goods stolen amounts to approximately €600.
Judge William Aylmer, presiding over Waterford District Court, remanded the man in custody until September 8.
On this date, it's expected an additional charge against the man will be preferred.
