Man in court following petrol station robbery in Waterford
Applegreen, Cleaboy
The man accused of committing robbery at Applegreen Service Station at Cleaboy has been named.
Anthony O’Regan (39), of 67 Larchville, allegedly entered the store on June 23 and stole €860 from the shop assistant.
A garda statement circulated shortly after the incident informed the public that the man is believed to have entered the Applegreen premises at approximately 7.45pm, produced a screwdriver, and threatened staff. He left the location on foot.
Waterford District Court was informed last week that a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Judge William Aylmer remanded O’Regan in custody until September 8.
