Man charged with the murder of Gillian Curran appears before Waterford District Court

A 34-year-old man has appeared in court in relation to the death of Waterford woman Gillian Curran.

Marcus O'Neill, of 15 O'Brien Street, Waterford City, appeared before Judge Cephas Power in Waterford District Court via video link.

He was formerly charged with murder in Gorey District Court, Co Wexford on Sunday, January 26.

Gillian Curran was found unresponsive at the accused's address on the morning of January 25.

At Waterford District Court, Mr Delahunty, for the defendant, made a bail application to the High Court.

The matter will be heard again on Tuesday, February 25, with the preparation of the Book of Evidence.
