Man arrested following €14million drugs seizure in south east

The Gardaí arrested a man following a €14.2 million cocaine seizure over the weekend.

The drugs were discovered at Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford on Saturday, October 18.

In a statement to Waterford News & Star, a spokesperson for the Gardaí said: "Approximately 202.5kgs of suspected cocaine was seized by Revenue Officers following the search of a lorry which had disembarked from a ferry."

A man aged in his 30s is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in Co. Wexford and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
