Man appears in court for thefts from Tesco and Dunnes in city
A local man appeared in Waterford District Court last week on two theft charges, for stealing spirits from two local supermarkets in the city.
The total value of the thefts amounted to €67.
The man, Jack Boland, aged 26, was staying at McGwire House on Bath Street.
He stole the products from Dunnes Stores in City Square and from Tesco Poleberry, with the incidents happening on January 16 and February 2 respectively.
He appeared in court charged contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
Boland was remanded on continuing bail until April 28 when the matter will continue in court.
