Man accused of murder in Waterford City makes court appearance 

Tomas Marvanek, age 39, has been charged with murder.

Tomas Marvanek, a 39-year-old man accused of committing murder in Waterford city, made an appearance via video link to Waterford District Court this week.

The man, who has an address at Grange Heights, has been in custody since April 29 charged with the murder of mother-of-three Yveta Donovalova.

The court was informed that there are no directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) as of yet. A file will be with the DPP in the coming week.

Marvanek’s solicitor Kenneth Cunningham said he is not yet in a position to proceed with a high court bail application.

The proceedings of the brief court mention were delivered to Marvanek via a Czech interpreter.

He will be remanded until June, when he will reappear via video link at Waterford District Court.
