The man will appear in Naas Courthouse, Co Kildare this evening.

A man aged in his 50s is due to appear in Naas District Court this evening in connection with a €775,000 drug seizure made in Waterford. 

On Wednesday, August 20, two men, one aged in his 50s and the other in his 20s, were detained following the searches of domestic residences in Tramore and Waterford City.

In Tramore, Gardaí from the County and City Crime and Drugs Units seized approximately 780g of suspected cocaine valued at €54,600, along with 1kg of cannabis valued at €20,000.

Gardaí carried out a follow-up search at a property in Waterford City where they seized approximately 10kg of suspected cocaine valued at €700,000 and cash.

The search was part of Operation Tara.

The male aged in his 20s is due to appear before Waterford District Court on September 9.

Investigations are ongoing.
