Major milestone as Sr Delores celebrates her 100th birthday

There were great scenes of celebration in Waterford recently when Sr. Dolores Carroll, Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, celebrated her 100th Birthday in Madonna House, Ferrybank.
The celebration took place on Wednesday, August 19, when Sr Delores was joined by family members, her community and friends.
A native of Cork, Sr. Dolores has always been a woman of courage, faith, and commitment, as she lived out her mission serving the most vulnerable members of society both as a teacher and social worker in England for 49 years.
On her return to Ireland she continued her mission in Ferrybank and Slieverue.
In doing so she touched the lives of many people and made many friends.
She now lives in retirement with the other retired sisters of the Order in Madonna House.
