Light up 4 Life event to take place in Waterford

The Light Up 4 Life event will take place on December 21
A very special event will take place in Dungarvan in Co Waterford on December 21.
Light up 4 Life is an initiative that will take place to in support of Pieta.
The event is being organised in conjunction with Cappoquin Logistics at their premises in Shandon, Dungarvan, located between Fraher Field and Dungarvan Mart.
The initial event will be followed by a truck, tractor, car and bike run with the aim of lighting up Dungarvan, Cappoquin and Lismore.
Pieta is the nominated charity for the event.
The registered charity provides free, therapeutic approach to people who in suicidal distress, engage in self-harm or a bereaved through suicide.
The day's events will consist of a fun afternoon of entertainment with DJ Mad Mike playing a few tunes.
A spokesperson for the organisers commented to Waterford News & Star: "We will have some guest speakers on the day, there will be refreshments and kids entertainment along with a special visit from Santa Claus."
"The support of Waterford GAA, especially the Waterford senior hurlers, in promoting our event is very gratefully received," said the spokesperson.
The event will kick off at 2pm, with all trucks, tractors, cars and bikes requested to register by 4.30pm.
Vehicle registration will be €30 per vehicle and there will be a goody bag for each vehicle.
There will be no charge to the public, howver, there will be a donation bucket and all support to that on the day will be very much welcome and appreciated.
