A familiar part of the Waterford city skyline over the past two weeks, the Hebo-Lift 9 sheerleg crane, is due to depart from Frank Cassin Wharf this weekend.
The crane and its accompanying ‘Dutch Power’ tug are expected to depart on Sunday June 8, according to Port of Waterford.
The impressive HEBO Lift 9 became a Suirside spectacle in recent weeks during its lifting and placing of the sustainable transport bridge spans.
The seagoing floating sheerleg crane has a lifting capacity of 800 tonnes.
Measuring approximately 67 metres in length and 27 metres in width, it is equipped with dynamic positioning capabilities, allowing for precise manoeuvring during complex lifting operations.
