The creativity of one man who exhibited his talent at this year's Iverk Show led to him receiving an award.

Tom Gill, from Kilsheelin, was was the inaugural winner of the Irene Purcell Memorial Cup for his wonderful upcycling project in which he repurposed an old ironing board into an amazing garden sculpture and planter.

Tom's sister, Delores accepted the cup on his behalf and she was presented with it by Irene's daughters, Therese Hearn and Deirdre Corcoran.

Two of Irene's grandchildren were also in attendance at the presentation ceremony.
