In Waterford 117 adults were in emergency accommodation in July, 2025

One hundred and seventeen adults were in emergency accommodation in July this year.

That is according to the Monthly Homelessness Report published by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

The July figure is up two people on the June number of 115.

The figures for the July report were taken between July 21 and 27.

SOUTH EAST 

Waterford is part of the South East region, along with Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Tipperary.

Waterford had the highest figure in the region, followed by Tipperary on 84 and Wexford on 50.

Carlow had the lowest with 35 adults in emergency accomodation followed by Kilkenny on 40.

In the South East region, there were 68 families in emergency accommodation.

That figuire consists of 53 single parent families, a total of 94 adults and 116 children.

The department does not publish local figures of families in emergency accommodation.

Nationally, there were 2,343 families in emergency accommodation, including 5,014 children.

In total, there were 11,044 adults in emergency accommodation across the country in July 2025.
