Marek Gierega, Ashley Close, Cherrymount, Waterford, who passed away on 25th May 2025. Reposing at Tom Hennessy’s Funeral Home, Johnstown, Waterford (X91 FW4A) on Monday May 26th. Cremation will take place in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork on Tuesday at 1:00pm 

Una Phelan (née: Greenan), Marian Park, Waterford, who passed away Saturday 24th May 2025. Reposing in Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Tuesday (27th May) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8 pm. Requiem Mass on arrival on Wednesday in the Holy Family Church at 10:00 am followed by burial in St. Senan’s Church Graveyard, Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny.

Esther McCarthy, Havenwood Village, Ballygunner, Waterford / Enniscorthy, Wexford, who passed away on May 23. Reposing in Tom Hennessy’s Funeral Home, Johnstown, Waterford on Saturday May 24th from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass took place in St Mary’s Church Ballygunner on Sunday May 25th at 12 .30pn. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Billy Bolster, Newtown Tramore, who passed away on May 21. Billy’s remains were reposing at Falconers Funeral Home. His service took place on Saturday May 24 at 11:30am at Christ Church , Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after Billy was laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery.

Michael Fitzgerald, Ballydrislane, Tramore, Waterford who passed away On May 21. Reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore. Michael’s Requiem Mass took place on Monday (26th May) at 11am in the Holy Cross Church, Killea. Immediately afterwards Michael was laid to rest in the new cemetery Killea.

John (Joss) Condon, Woodlawn Grove, Cork Road, Waterford City, Waterford who passed away on May 20. Reposing in Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Thursday on 22nd May. John’s funeral cortege walked from the Bank on Fr. Gregory Way for Requiem Mass on arrival at 10:00am on Friday (23rd May) in St. Paul’s Church, Lisduggan followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.

William (Billy) Jacob, Ard Na Greine, Waterford City, Waterford, who passed away on May 19. Reposing at Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Wednesday (21st May). William’s funeral cortege walked from Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Thursday (22nd May) to the Holy Family Church for Requiem Mass on arrival at 11:00am, followed by burial in Kilbarry Cemetery.

Philomena (Phyl) Williams (née: O’Donoghue), Formerly of Marian Park, Waterford City, Waterford who passed away on May 18. Reposing in Tom Hennessy’s Funeral Home, Johnstown, Waterford (X91 FW4A) on Wednesday May 21. Requiem Mass took place in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner on Thursday May 22nd at 12 o’clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

James Walsh, Ballinclare, Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny, formerly of Paddy Browne’s Road and Ozier Park, Waterford, who passed away on May 18. His remains were moved from Thomson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on May 21, for cremation in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork.

Patrick Devereux, Waterford City, Waterford / Kildare, who passed away on May 15. His remains were removed from Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, for requiem Mass on Sunday (18th May) on arrival in Holy Family Church, Luke Wadding Street, at 12 noon, followed by burial in St. Otteran's Cemetery.

Anthony Legg, late of Elm Park, Tramore, Co. Waterford, formerly of London, England, who passed away on May 17. A celebration of Anthony's life took place in Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore on Tuesday the 20th of. At the conclusion of the service the funeral home remained open for Anthony's friends and acquaintances to pay their respects to his family. As per Anthony's wishes, a private cremation will take place at a later date.

County Waterford 

Paul O’Keeffe, Portlaw, Waterford / Mooncoin, Waterford, who passed away on May 24. Reposing in Walshs funeral home Carrick on Suir on Sunday evening May 25th with removal on Monday morning to St. Patricks Church Portlaw for 11am mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Joe Burke, Silverwood Ferrybank, who passed away on May 21. Reposing in Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street. Joe’s funeral cortege passed his residence on Saturday (24th May) en route to the Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank for Mass on arrival at 2:00pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Nora J Spratt (née: Mahony), ‘Fáilte House’ Youghal Road and formerly Coolcormack, Dungarvan, Waterford, who passed away on May 21. Was reposing at Dungarvan Community Hospital Chapel on Friday 23rd May. Funeral Mass took place on Saturday 24th May at 11a.m in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Dungarvan. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick Morrissey, Glenanane, Ballinamult, Waterford who passed away on May 20. Reposing at Dungarvan Community Hospital Chapel on Wednesday evening, 21st May. Requiem Mass took place at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning, 22nd May, in St. Mary's Church, Touraneena with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Majella Ryan (Raymond), Carriglea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford and formerly of Cullen Road, Oola, Co. Tipperary who passed away on May 19. Reposing at Whelan's Funeral Home, Bansha Road, Tipperary on Wednesday evening May 21st 2025. Mass for Majella took place in St. Patrick's Church, Cullen, Co. Tipperary on Thursday May 22nd 2025 at 12noon and burial afterwards in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tipperary Town.

Joyce Kingston, Ballygarvan, Cork / Cappoquin, Waterford, who passed away on May 19. Reposing at her residence on Wednesday (May 21st). Funeral Service was at 2.00pm on Thursday (May 22nd) in the Holy Trinity Church.

Frankfield Johnny Costigan, Conway's Court, Dungarvan, Waterford, who passed away on May 17. Reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Monday evening, 19th May. Requiem Mass took place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning, 20th May, in St. Mary's Parish Church, Dungarvan. Interment afterwards in St. Mary's Old Churchyard.
